Amirul B Ruslan is an as yet not widely known author from Malaysia. His talent was spotted by people at The Writing Pot, an online archive as well as other places online. He had only posted three chapters of the draft of his novel The Russian Surprise when he was promoted to the rank of "Senior Writer". Later, however, the ranking system was removed. He has not submitted any more work since December 2005.
