George Hudson (1806 - 19 November 1883) was a businessman and local politician. He was a builder, auctioneer and undertaker, based at Brewer Street, Woolwich. He became the agent of the Burrage Estate was elected to Woolwich Local Board in the 1840s. From 1857-78 he was Woolwich Vestry's representative on the Metropolitan Board of Works. Hudson was involved in the development of the coastal resort of Clacton-on-Sea, Essex where he was chairman of the Royal Hotel Company.
