Charly group was a flight group of four TIE/D Defenders. The starfighters were parked at a staging area when two Imperial Missile Boats arrived with orders to eliminate all TIE Defenders in the area. Though the pilots attempted to get to their starfighters, Charly group was destroyed by the Imperials. The operation was later used as a training exercise for Missile Boat pilots.
