Gear Koshien is a Gear Fighting tournament that appears in Crush Gear Nitro. It is the only championship that is open to team participation in the series. The Kodama Gear Club, comprising of Masaru and his friends, enters the tournament and eventually faces Team YOU (where Yuu is one of its members) in the finals.
