Kaiserin is a twice-yearly contemporary art magazine based in Paris. It seems to publish lots of homoerotic photos. The mag bills itself as being for 'boys with problems', a euphemism for being gay taken from a song by synth pop legends Soft Cell. "I liked the idea of reclaiming that idea, and maybe of reaffirming it, and of just saying that maybe having problems isn't such a bad thing," says Arnaud. As for the actually name: KAISERIN - it comes from a metro stop on the U-Bahn in Berlin, well that and the fact that it looked nice and sounded nice. Fitting really. Patrick Welch
