An efficient way of adding diacritics in Marc 21 is to switch the language of your keyboard. Normally your keyboard is set up to type in English (Ireland). This matches the letters typed onto the actual keyboard. However, you can change the keyboard to another language. This will then enable you to use accents, umlauts, etc. Below is a table outlining the position of certain symbols in a few of the languages we most commonly use. Example (Once you have set up your language bar – instructions are below): If you want to type in the French title ‘Le goût pour chocolat’: CDB 06.12.07
