The Barre Petite de Rouge (English: Little Bar of Red) is a small white box with red lettering that serves as the news ticker for the television broadcasts and the internet header for the mass media news circuit Lecteur en Rouge. The Barre is updated upon the arrival of new news, and serves specifically to give short specs of information to the public while also serving to entice them to read, listen, or watch the full story being covered on any of the forms of news putting. The Barre is also unique in that it has a literal manifestation on the buildings owned by Lecteur en Rouge in both Washington, D.C., and Houston, Texas, from which people on the street can read the ticker.
