Logistics Ships are a class of advanced cruiser that are designed exclusively for the purpose of aiding teammates in combat. These Tech II vessels are widely used in complexes and other NPC encounters, but are not as common in actual player combat. The main pitfall in PVP fighting is that any logistics cruiser would be called as a target immediately and would be destroyed first in a battle, before it could be useful. However in the Alliance Tournament in the summer of 2006, logistics ships were used effectively in PvP combat.
