Swordmaster Dao is a minor character in Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors. A consummate master of the blade, at the beginning of the game he is seen challenging anyone who thinks they may be able to match him. The Hero of Dragon Quest Swords has no desire to at first, but Dao urges him on. This leads to the game's tutorial, where Dao teaches the player the basics of swordplay and shield-use.
