The Pterodactyl is the main antagonist of the episode "The Land Before Swine" where she broke free from some prehistoric amber in an abandoned mining facility and went on a rampage. She kidnapped Mabel's pet pig Waddles and took him underground to feed him to her baby. Stan manages to gain Mabel's trust for him by defeating the Pterodactyl. Stan hits the pterodactyl in the eyes, causing her to fall off the ledge, though the pterodactyl still tries to pursue them, but she is trapped in the mining area and presumeably gone extinct.
