Perséas I reigning from (1062 - 1020 BC) was the second Emperor of the Heracleidae Empire and a member of the Heracleidae dynasty. The Heracleidae state was the precursor of the modern Diadochian Empire. Legend claims that Perséas ruled for forty-two years, during which time he is said to strengthen the empire. Perséas I succeeded his father Heraclius I in 1062 BC. His reign like his predecessors and immediate predecessors are largely based on legend rather than actual fact. Historians are however fairly certain that an empire did exist in what is now eastern Diadochia.
