How I Blew Up Philadelphia was a memoir written by Clarence Potter. He began writing the book shortly after being found not guilty of violating the laws of war in the wake of his sneaking a superbomb into Philadelphia and detonating it in 1944. As of 1945, the book was still a work in progress. Potter began the book with a recollection of the day he met Jake Featherston during the Great War.
