Inro tattoo was named for the inro, a small box worn on the obi. It drew power not only from Togashi's divinity but also from the self-sacrificial will and honor of its bearer. It was known only one Tattooed Monk who bore it, Togashi Yamatsu, who used it to trap Iuchiban's spirit, holding it prisoner within his own body until it was bound once more into its tomb.
