According to one source, this station was de-licensed on March 1, 1928 because of a controversy over the proper owner of the license. The principal of Omaha Central High School, J. G. Masters, objected to C. H. Thompson's maintaining that the station was his. Because of this controversy and the Federal Radio Commission's desire to reduce the number of high-school-operated stations, the license was withdrawn. However, another source still shows the station as licensed as of June 30, 1928, with the licensee shown as given.
