Megdal was a Starfleet officer in the 24th century. In 2381, Ensign Megdal was officer on the USS Demeter during that vessel's exploration of the Delta Quadrant. Lt. Commander Atlee Fife asked Ensigns Megdal and Schiller to collect supplies which Captain Hosc T'Mar of the USS Planck had requested. (VOY novel: Children of the Storm)
