Participation in the WCC has had the benefit of bringing the Eastern Orthodox Churches and the Oriental Orthodox Churches, separated since the Council of Chalcedon in A.D. 45 1, into a fruitful dialogue. The dialogues and discussions between the theologians of the two families of churches has resulted in establishing that the churches share an unbroken apostolic faith, the same Christology despite its varying emphases and the same ecclesiastical traditions. The Churches have also agreed to remove anathemas against each other's church fathers and the measures have been taken to introduce inter-communion between the two families of churches. Fr.
