"Any Time Or Place" has a catchy, shout-along chorus, getting play on the Z-ROCK heavy metal station, along with "Watchin'", with lyrics aimed at a hard look at life (which the latter is also evident in the title track). "Crash Landing" is a fast thrash metal tune, whereas "Empty Arms" starts out slow, but quickens to being mid-paced, and the album ends with a cover of "The Slider", which is a bit bluesy in style.
