He began his amateur career in 2000–2001, playing in with FC Ameri Tbilisi, in which he scored twelve goals in 26 appearance. Next year he got injured in 2003 he recovered from injury and scored 17 goals in 26 appearance then he got injured again and in 2009 he moved to FC Shevardeni-1906 Tbilisi, where he scored ten goals in 23 appearances. In the summer of 2010 he transferred to Sulakvelidze and scored scored 22 goals in 30 games for Sulakvelidze in the following season.
