The Sun fields were an expanse of meadow lands on the Talaxian moon of Rinax. Located not too far from the Talaxian colony, Neelix and his family often visited the fields for pinics. Neelix remarked that although the Talaxian system had three suns, only one, Mormo, shone on Rinax. The Sun fields most likely received a lot of light from Mormo, hence their name. Near the Sun fields were giant zax trees which provided shade and where Talaxians could hear the sounds of oliara birds. (ST reference: Star Trek Cookbook)
