Tubisin was a grain native to the planet Buran and a food of Burani. One of the major distributors of tubisin on Buran was the father of S'Hiri, the fiance of Prince J'Kara. S'Hiri's father was implicated in T'Fara's plan to infect tubisin with a plague in order to force the Burani to vote to withdraw from the United Federation of Planets.
