The Eighth Battle of Yavin was a major battle during the War of Imperial Rebirth. All the surviving Jedi had rallied there with nearly 15,000 surviving Alliance soldiers. For seven days they held out against shock troops from the Galactic Empire. The fighting was so fierce, that at one point the Empire had to send more troops to bolster the faltering troops.
