During the years leading up to, and during the great rise, Global Dimming was implemented as a geoengineering technique to stave off the effects of Global Warming by releasing more sulfates into the troposphere, however this did not prove successful, and instead brought more problems in the future, which were the 20% increase in Global Dimming with less sunlight during the day and much longer nights, sulfates caused increased acid rain, the dimming caused evaporation and problems, increased rainfall.
