Emotions is the second album by Mariah Carey. The album was released on September 17, 1991 on Columbia Records. It was recorded between January to July 1991 and it was produced by Mariah Carey, Walter Afanasieff, and Clivilles [Robert Clivilles] & Cole [David Cole] (of C+C Music Factory fame). The album has sold over eight million copies worldwide and was certified 4x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
