From what Scott said on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn after Craig Kilborn asked if Creed was a Christian band, Scott replied "when I was a kid, my dad made me write the Bible for punishment". He also added that Scott's family was a real strong Christian family. He says because of that some Creed song talk about his "upbringing". He said that Creed being a Christian band is a misconception.
