Some mythos fiction avoids overt examples of the supernatural and alien, essentially being mundane. This may be more like literary fiction, speculative but realistic such as Science-Fiction, or horror fiction concentrating upon psychology or human evil rather than a Supernatural element. For example, a madman may own the Play, but there is no clear evidence that it drove him mad in a supernatural way. As such a story might hint at strange things, it may approach Magic Realism.
