The Lord of the Rings Motion Picture Trilogy: The Exhibition was a traveling exhibit, created by the Te Papa Tongarewa museum of New Zealand, featuring actual props and costumes used in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings movies, as well as special effects demonstrations and "making of" documentary videos. The exhibit has developed and changed slightly as it moved from one museum to another; it will presumably continue to travel for several years, but whether or not it will find a permanent home at Te Papa is uncertain.
