Scott is just about to drink Angelina's blood, when Abel interrupts him. Abel has come to arrest him, but Scott attacks him with a knife. When Abel remains unaffected by the knife to his heart, Scott realizes he must be the "monster" that a sect of priests keeps and that the Vatican sends out when they face problems beyond the scope of mortal men.
