For Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, trailers have been released to reveal all the newcomers and some veterans including DLC characters. They consist of original animation and gameplay videos showcasing the characters' special moves. When introducing a newcomer, a splash art with a line of text is displayed. Many of these trailers (Duck Hunt's trailer, as well as the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U trailers that predate it) are available within the Movies sub-menu of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
