Seton Forbes-Cockell (14 August 1927-19 September 1971) * Chairman Forbes Group of Companies 1953-71 Conservative Party member of the Greater London Council: Kensington and Chelsea 1964 until his death. Committee Chair Thamesmead 2 May 1967-1971. His wife, Ann M. Forbes-Cockell, was also a member of the GLC. * Leader of Opposition ILEA 1964-67 Mayor of Hammersmith 1969-70. Wrote several books.
