The asdandet is a widely cultivated Aulunikan gourd. The plant is a hardy shrub which bears ovoid or spherical edible fruit. There are four main varieties of asdandet: "salad", "pickling", "breakfast", and "dessert". Within these varieties, several different cultivars have emerged. The asdandet is originally from Aulunika, but is now grown on many planets. A plethora of varieties are traded on the galactic market.
