Captain Byron Hadley is the secondary antagonist of the book, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, and it's 1994 adaption, The Shawshank Redemption. He is the top prison guard that serves as Warden Norton's right-hand man. He was played by actor Clancy Brown, who also played the Kurgan in the 1986 film Highlander , Mr. Krabs of Spongebob Squarepants, and Neo Cortex and Uka Uka from Crash Bandicoot.
