The Gedrand was a Kurzan three-tiered warship which had been captured by the Crimson Guard. It arrived in Stratem with the rest of the fleet several days after the Wanderer and the Kestral. The Gedrand was taken by Skinner as his flagship for the crossing to Quon Tali. Along with the Wanderer and Kestral, it darted ahead of the main fleet, carrying the majority of the Avowed.
