Beerenbergbyen, commonly known as Beerenberg is the capital and largest settlement of Fireland. Beerenberg is the only urban centre on the island, with a population of 88,753 people, constituting 70% of the island's population. The city is the centre of Firelandic politics, economy, employment, tourism, culture and media. Beerenberg is home to Fireland's most important institutions, most notably, Beerenberg University, Arktikgrus and the Beerenberg Institute of Art.
