The Faith-breakers (the term used us To Ride a Rathorn) or Oath-breakers (the term used in Bound in Blood and The Sea of Time) are those Knorth Kendar who remained behind when Ganth threw down his name and titles after the Battle of the White Hills. They mostly found permanent places in other houses, whose ranks were thinned by the battle, particularly the Randir. Many consider themselves as having been betrayed by Ganth and the Knorth. Many of Those-Who-Returned think of them as having betrayed their house and lord. Torisen sympathizes with them, though.
