The Khwarezm Shahdom was a Muslim state, founded by the shores of the Aral Sea, that maintained a 30 year existence in the Middle East until it's destruction by Genghis Khan Temujin in 1220. In the meanwhile, continued conflict with the warlords of the area, namely the crumbling Seljuk Sultanate of Merv.
