He fought against the Spanish under the command of Pierre le Porc during the War of Garcia and Pierre. At some point during the war, he attacked the Prowler, a Spanish privateer galleon. However, the two Spanish sloop suddenly appeared, and his frigate was eventually destroyed. After the battle, the Captain and his men escaped on a nearby island.
