Gausser was known to be a warlike man, whose territorial ambitions against the neighboring province of Hochland threatened to turn into civil war. At the order of Emperor Karl Franz, the Gold Wizard Balthasar Gelt stopped him from doing so by turning the complete amassed gold in the vaults of Theoderic Gausser's castle to lead, which made it impossible for the Elector Count to pay the mercenaries he had employed. Some years later Theoderic Gausser fought during the Storm of Chaos against the Hordes of Chaos and became a hero.
