Spike Fiends are troublesome, quadrupedal scavengers found in mountainous regions. Their armored backs are festooned with thick, dagger-like spines. Tough for their size, they arch their backs to fire these quills at prey or threatening predators. These quills, which they fire one at a time, can travel up to 50 feet. They can sense and track other creatures by their scent. More developed variants have a more vicious rate of fire and tend to fire in volleys. In 1264, caravans traveling to the Rogue Pass reported several attacks by these aggressive monsters.
