The Overwatch Open was a professional Overwatch tournament hosted by ELEAGUE for the live finals and FACEIT for the online qualifiers. The tournament began on August 24, 2016 with the online qualifiers where any team from Europe and North America earn a qualification for the live finals in Atlanta, Georgia. The qualifying phase took place from August 24 to August 29 and the live finals took place on Sepember 26 and 29. The Grand Finals took place on September 30 between EnVyUs of North America and Misfits of Europe with Misfits winning the tournament 3 games to 1. The prize pool for the live finals participants is US$300,000.
