The Assault Droid was the Cylon Imperium's version of the next generation Super Battle Droid. It was much more intelligent and was able to adapt to changes in its surroundings very quickly. Like the Super Battle Droid, its weaponry was built-in, sporting a single heavy blaster rifle style weapon in each of its arms. These droids, along with the War Droid, made up the backbone of the Imperium army. They were later incorporated into the Crimson Empire's ranks after the Imperium fell to Darth Trayus.
