The Quillar-class Fleet Defense Frigate was designed for a role similar to that of the Imperial Lancer-class Frigate. An outer ward against enemy starfighters, the Quillar-class is fast and well-armed enough for its task. Wary of the shortfalls that plagued the Lancer, designers included some limited anti-ship weaponry, as well as space for some fighters of its own.
