The Royal Navy League was a private organization dedicated to preserving the memory of the Royal Manticoran Navy and the men, women, and ships in its service. When HMS Unconquered, the ship which both Sir Edward Saganami and Ellen D'Orville commanded, was scheduled to be scrapped, the Royal Navy League engaged in a massive fund-raising effort to repair and restore her to the condition she was in under Saganami, and convinced the Crown to reinstate her as a memorial and living museum.
