Elmo's Night Before Christmas is a 1996 Sesame Street book and tape set. Elmo decides to go to bed early on Christmas Eve, so that Christmas comes quicker. His sleep is interrupted by one thing after another. The story is narrated in rhyme; the narrator was performed by Moira Driscoll. Kevin Clash performed Elmo, with Caroll Spinney as Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch, and Jerry Nelson as Herry Monster and Count von Count. The tape included two songs from the 1978 special Christmas Eve on Sesame Street: "True Blue Miracle" and "Keep Christmas with You (All Through the Year)".
