The Sukhoi 23, or the SU23, was a training starfighter used to instruct naval cadets, made by the Sukhoi Design Bureau. Originally developed as a light reconnaissance fighter, it was decided that the craft was more useful for training purposes. It is used by many naval academies. Many planetary militias used it as a combat fighter, not being able to afford better ones.
