Quarians were a Force-sensitive, near-Twi'lek species. Every Quarian was Force-sensitive, but only one of five Quarians was strong enough to be trained as a Jedi. After their planet's surface was destroyed, their society turned from hunting, to mining, because many species were killed and many metals and crystals were discovered. From 201 ABY to 211 ABY, the Quarians were enslaved by the empire who used them to mine metal for their starships. The cause of leaving was unknown.
