The Madratine or Famadrita was a small cat-like fox found mainly in the highlands of Eriador. It's white mask and ears stood out in sharp relief to it's reddish brown fur. Madratines were very shy, nocturnal creatures that preyed on rodents, birds, insects, and lizards. Pairs mated for life and generally occupied only one burrow during the course of a year.
