Charles Lee Smith (1887–1964) was an atheist activist in the United States and an editor of the Truth Seeker until his death. He also founded the American Association for the Advancement of Atheism, though the organization didn't survive beyond the demise of his successor, James Hervey Johnson. Smith's greatest claim to fame is the fact that he was the last person to be convicted for blasphemy in the United States—at least in a case of any note.
