Ithaqua was the capitol city of Akuria II, an ice planet in the Oplovis Sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It was also the planet's only spaceport and largest city. To the south was the second largest city, Ryuqa. Originally built by Akurians under enslavement of the Rakatan Infinite Empire, the city later became the capitol of the independent Akurian government following the collapse of the Empire. An attempted takeover of Akuria launched by the Yuuzhan Vong, the Battle of Akuria II, took place outside of Ithaqua.
