The Mawan were a species of humanoids from the planet Mawan. They had pale skin, two hearts, and blue blood vessels close to the surface of the skin. It was considered a mark of refinement for a Mawan's veins to show through the skin. The Mawan gesture of friendship and welcome was to give a brief nod, then to hold out the hand, palm out, while offering a verbal salutation or greeting.
