When Dr. Eggman joined forces with Dr. Wily-an equally-evil scientist from another dimension-they launched the second known Genesis Wave on both of their realities. During the altered worlds that followed, the doctors attempted to use the seven Chaos Emeralds to initiate the Super Genesis Wave, a powered up version that would alter their realities completely to as they see fit. Sonic the Hedgehog teamed up with Wily's own arch-nemesis, Mega Man, to prevent the wave, but where forced to reverse the it mid-flow while in their Super Transformations. While Super Mega Man was successful in returning his world to the way it was, Super Sonic's attempt was disrupted by a spiteful Dr. Eggman, causing the fabric of Sonic's reality to crack...
